Self Cleaning Oven Locked Door Open

2 wait approximately 10 minutes and reapply power to the oven.

Self cleaning oven locked door open. If there is food in the oven let the oven cool to room temperature and try to unlatch the door. To unlock an oven hold down the lock button on your control panel for 2 or 3 seconds and wait for the oven to beep to indicate it s unlocked. Again wait for at least another 20 seconds. Press cancel off key to start a latch reset wait 20 30 seconds and open door turn the power off at the circuit breaker or fuse box for one minute then turn the power back on. If the door will not unlock at the end of the clean cycle then you may have a problem with the oven temperature sensor. On the oven control panel press the clock or set clock button and the cancel off button at the same time and hold for 10 seconds. If the oven isn t too hot the lock will immediately release allowing you to open the door.

Wait at least 20 seconds before you cancel the self clean setting on the oven. Hold the oven light switch down and press the cancel off button. Most electronic control ovens will display a fault code to indicate that the sensor has failed. Press the oven stop or clear button for three seconds to stop the cleaning cycle.

However if the whirlpool oven door is locked and won t open even after a cleaning cycle it s possible the stove s control panel has malfunctioned. Is it locked when starting or using the oven. Then plug it back in again which may reset the temperature gauge and cause it to unlock. Allow the oven to cool approximately 30 90 minutes move the latch arm to the left to unlock the door.

Program your frigidaire oven to self clean. If power to the oven fails during this operation the oven will remain in the locked position and disengaging the lock can be quite difficult. If you suspect that the sensor is at fault you should first remove the power to the oven for a few moments and then reconnect. If that does not unlock the door run a short self clean cycle 1 2 hours. If this doesn t work open the oven door and look for the oven light switch inside the oven. Set the oven to self clean. Kitchenaid ovens with a self cleaning feature have a locking mechanism that activates when the oven reaches a certain temperature during the self cleaning cycle.

The oven door has been locked accidentally. If this doesn t work unplug it from the electrical outlet and wait a few minutes. If no food or utensils are in the oven start a self clean cycle then hit clear off after 60 seconds.
